BIO: I am a Consultant and Associate Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery & Audiology - Rigshospitalet. My main research is within diagnostics, AI, head and neck cancer, and upper airway infections, and I have >70 peer-reviewed publications, >1000 citations, and an H-index of 14 (Scopus). I have raised over 3.5 million EUROs in competitive funding and led several multicenter randomized clinical trials, including over 25,000 participants.

I am a head and neck ultrasound expert and research leader of the Surgical Ultrasound Research Group in Copenhagen (SURGiC). I have obtained a patent for a new 3D ultrasound technique and am the cofounder of the 3Sonic medical device start-up company. I am the President of the Danish Society of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DSDU) and director of the Copenhagen International Head & Neck Ultrasound Course, which has trained >200 doctors from >30 countries.

I am the course director for "Data in Medicine" (5 ECTS) at the University of Copenhagen and am experienced in developing technology-enhanced learning materials for students. I have made educational websites and online videos with > 300,000 views, including a clinical guide for the World Health Organization (WHO). I have a big passion for new technology and I am a Coordinating Associate Professor for the ​Technical University Hospital of Greater Copenhagen (TUH)
